It was actually your post about the movie that made me realize that these two characters were so similar.

Othar Tryygvassen is from the Girl Genius comics (www.girlgeniusonline.com). His mission in life is to destroy all the Sparks (mad scientists) because they bring nothing but misery and sorrow to the normal people of the world. He views himself as the hero of an epic story. He's also quite insane.

He's also a spark.

Yes, he plans to kill himself when he's done. Because in his perfect world, there will be no place for a man like him.

Huh? See? It's perfect! :p
